This morning we went down to the breakfast buffet in the hotel, but because of covid, we had to order our food and they brought it out so we could eat it in our room.

After breakfast, we walked into the centre of town, to the edge of the River Cam. We decided to go punting on the river, so we had booked a tour for that morning. The boat could fit 12 people in it, so it had plastic dividers between different households, but there was only one other couple on the boat. The punt was about an hour long. We went under 9 bridges and saw many of the 31 colleges in Cambridge.

This swan was in front of the boat for about 5 minutes. We almost ran it over which was quite stressful, as killing a swan is seen as an act of treason!

Our punting guide told us that this is known as Concussion Bridge! I think you can guess why- it’s very low
This is the mathematical bridge. It used to have no screws or bolts, it was just held up with physics!
This is King’s College chapel
