Edinburgh’s Castles

We went to lots of museums and castles while we were in Edinburgh. I really enjoyed Holyrood Palace. It is the official Scottish residence of Queen Elizabeth II. We went inside Queen Victoria’s dining room and even saw a bloodstain on the floor from when Mary Queen of Scots’ secretary, David Rizzio was murdered in 1566.

We also went to Edinburgh Castle a few times, which was always freezing cold, but it had an amazing view! I bought a tartan scarf after one of our visits.

That night it snowed a tiny bit, but it was the first snow that I ever experienced!

  2. Very hilly city, but quite easy to get around. It was quite cold when we were there in August, which is still summer-ish!
