After arriving in Darwin, we had to quarantine for two weeks at Howard Springs.
The accommodation was divided into blocks with cabins or ‘dongas,’ that each had four separate rooms. Mum, Dad, Jamie and Abby were in the same donga, but I was in the next one over. We were allowed to go into each other’s rooms to visit.

We had to be up at 8am every morning for temperature checks, and on some days we had to have covid tests as well.
There was the option to get Coles and Kmart deliveries, so we could order anything we wanted from those stores and they could be delivered to the quarantine site.
The was surprisingly plenty of things to do during quarantine, I wrote some music, had Zoom meetings to organise school arrangements, started crocheting a bag, and even sold a painting I did!
