Last Sunday me and my Mum went to Port Elliot. We went to Freeman’s Knob Lookout. In the shallow water was a New Zealand fur seal. we saw lots of people gathering around with cameras and telescopes. We looked out into the open ocean and we saw a HUMPBACK WHALE!!!! It was only a calf, but it started off by spraying water, then it started breaching! In case you don’t know what breaching is, it means to jump out of the water! It was very amazing! We didn’t have a camera with us, so I don’t have a photo -sorry. But during May-October, you might be able to see whales in SA – especially down on the South Coast.
